Support for Smoking Cessation

Each INSPIRE study participant is offered support for smoking cessation. Our team emphasizes the importance of quitting smoking and can connect participants with a smoking cessation counsellor to make a plan for quitting smoking.

Meet the Leaders

Alex Potter, Deepti Srinivasan, and Chi-Fu Jeffrey Yang, MD

Alex is a clinical research coordinator at Massachusetts General Hospital and lead investigator of over 10 landmark clinical studies on lung cancer and lung cancer screening. Deepti is a medical student at Tufts Medical School and leading several lung cancer screening projects. Dr. Yang is a thoracic surgeon at Massachusetts General Hospital and Associate Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School.

We are all passionate about lung cancer screening, and are committed to reaching patients in the most underserved communities. We care deeply about each of our study participants and pride ourselves on supporting each of them through the screening process.

In addition to the INSPIRE study, we lead the American Lung Cancer Screening Initiative (ALCSI), a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to improving access to lung cancer screening.
