Alexandra Potter, BS

Alexandra Potter is a clinical research coordinator at Massachusetts General Hospital. Her research focuses on lung cancer screening and thoracic oncology. Additionally, she is involved in efforts to increase awareness of and access to lung cancer screening. She currently serves as President of the American Lung Cancer Screening Initiative, a 501c(3). Outside of work, Alex enjoys running.

Deepti Srinivasan, BS

Deepti Srinivasan is a first-year medical student at Tufts University. A double Jumbo, she recently graduated from Tufts and majored in biomedical engineering.

Deepti is passionate about health equity and improving representation in clinical research. She hopes to create a comfortable environment for all women who participate in our study. Deepti is an avid baker, which is appreciated by the entire team!

Maggie Yang, BS

Maggie Yang is a research coordinator for the INSPIRE study. She recently graduated from Johns Hopkins University, where she received a bachelor’s degree in molecular/cellular biology and a minor in psychology.

At the Yang lab, Maggie is primarily responsible for the INSPIRE study. Beyond this, she has a background in basic science prostate cancer research with a focus on metastasis and motility, and aspires to become an oncologist. She is particularly interested in health equity. Outside of research, Maggie is passionate about her work with Camp Kesem, and enjoys reading, writing, and playing badminton.

Chi-Fu Jeffrey Yang, MD

Dr. Chi-Fu Jeffrey Yang is a thoracic surgeon at Massachusetts General Hospital and an Associate Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School. He received his bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Harvard College and his medical degree at Harvard Medical School. He completed his general surgery residency at Duke and cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at Stanford. 

Dr. Yang practices all aspects of thoracic surgery in addition to clinical research. He also started the American Lung Cancer Screening Initiative, a 501(c)(3) non-profit to highlight the importance of lung screening.

When Dr. Yang is not at Mass General, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Phoebe, two daughters and his dog.
